Tel Aviv is the most "western" city in the country, but it is still in the Middle East. A smearing mixture of cultures created this oasis in a desert that never sleeps. The city is extremely diverse and, like any modern metropolis, can offer something to each tourist depending on his needs. It is very difficult for the disenchanted to leave the city.

Transport
The bus service of transport cooperatives "Dan" and "Egged" is well developed in the city. There are also buses operated by other companies such as Kavim. Buses do not operate from Friday evening to Saturday evening. There are night routes from Sunday to Thursday. Route taxis connect the city to Jerusalem, Rishon-les-Zion, Rehovot, Nes-Ziona, Modiin. There are no route taxis going to Bat Yam and Holon. A plan for the construction of a metro is under preparation and is expected to open in 2017.
The buses should enter the front door and pay the driver directly when boarding the bus. It is recommended to have small money with you. For 5 shek (1 euro) from the driver you can buy "Rav-Kav", an anonymous contactless smart card, on which the driver can encode some amount of money (30, 50 shek, etc.), in which case when paying for travel the passenger gets 20 % discount. When paying 50 CZK, 60 CZK is credited to the account, which is written off from the card according to the cost of travel on tariff zones.
When traveling in a taxi, you can choose either a meter or agree with the driver for a fixed price. Please note that during peak hour there are many congestion and a fixed price trip is more profitable than a trip on the counter. The driver is obliged to give you a check at the end of the trip and the change. Cash is accepted for payment. It is very rare to pay by credit card.
When traveling by train, you should buy a ticket at the station ticket office or at the machine gun. The machines work in English and Hebrew. You should select the destination station, the age of the passenger (the child-adult-pensioner) and the number of tickets. The machines accept all major bank cards without additional commission. The ticket must be saved until the end of the trip. You can exit the station only on a valid ticket, which must be inserted into the turnstile at exit. Note that security controls are in place when you enter each station. Photography at stations without the demand of railway employees is not recommended. Trains are not frequent enough, it is recommended to check the train schedule on the railway company's website, which is also available in Russian. The English version of the site is updated, however, more often than Russian.
Transportation is open from late Saturday evening until around 14-16:00 Friday (depending on the time of year). After lunch on Friday and until late Saturday evening, there are no buses or trains. You can use a shuttle taxi (monit Shirut) or a taxi (in the Sabbat, and on weekdays from 21pm to 5:30am there is a 25% markup). Public transport also does not work on public holidays (except Independence Day).

Watch the way people ahead of you do it. It is rare to ask you to unzip the jacket or show the contents of your pockets.

There are virtually no tourist attractions in the city's surroundings. Numerous one-day excursions to the country, to Jerusalem, Haifa, the Jewish Desert, etc. are recommended.
